Personal Conclusion.
In my point of view, our group managed to construct our arch as planned and as we designed.
Our arch was stable and strong enough to handle the weight load and we survived the load test.
We actually worked on the ideas and design together.
Even during the seismic load test, our arch managed to stand still until the end. Somehow during the final test ( stones throwing session) due to the impact and pressure applied on our arch, it collapsed in the end.
Personal Improvement
In my opinion, we could have make the column wider and stronger. We could have used more plasticine and shape them into blocks with bigger base. We also need more time to reconstruct the arch after failing it when we did our personal test.
Lastly, i personal think that our group can improve on our design to make it more presentable and attractive.
Reflection.
From this activity, I learned that working in team is very important. Each and everyone needs to contribute ideas and thought. I learned that design in construction is very important and we should do more research for better understanding. Besides that, it is very important to have good measurement and balance in our construction.
